Enjoy a free, fun afternoon of arts activities for all the family at Smythesdale’s Historic Precinct. This will feature artists, performers & writers of the northern Golden Plains Shire – which includes Linton, Scardale, Smythesdale, Haddon and outer Buninyong.

Enjoy performances by Salty Dog, Haddon Concert Band, music and dance students of Woady Yaloak Primary School, Anthony Hurry, Jamee Ellis, Measure 4 Measure, and art demonstrations and workshops by well-known artists such as Vida Pearson, Barry Wemyss, Anne Langdon, Jarrod Foote, Michel Morrisett. There will also be writing/illustration workshops by publisher/writer Clarissa Stein and readings by Leonie Hurry from her play, “One Soldier”.

The Woady Yaloak Historical Society members will take tours of the Courthouse, Lock Up and Stables and the restored gallows will be on view. See the 1860s dresses costumes of Pauline Riches and other historical items. The Society will screen David Brown’s film “On the Map On the Trail” featuring stories from the area’s past, and provide refreshments.
