James Fearn launches his fifth book, an historical novel at Buninyong Brewery on Friday 14 October 2016.
Its 16c hero escapes France to England with the aid of people smugglers. His naval adventures with Sr Francis Drake and encounters with slavery test his own fundamental beliefs, forcing him to take action.
The hero is based on an ancestor of his old school friend, Ballarat’s “own” Geoffrey D’Ombrain, musician extraordinaire. Geoffrey will probably play and talk a little at the launch.
